The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is like the Super Bowl for fashion bargain-hunters! There’s a huge build-up, enticing ads, and two teams (you and your credit card) pumped and ready for the win. Your Nordstrom credit card is your VIP ticket to early access and the best seats in the house. And if your disability makes it challenging to maneuver through crowds and chaos, you can choose a front-row seat directly from the comfort of your own couch.
As usual, Trend-Able’s staff (meaning me 😂) did the hard work for you and sifted through hundreds of Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale preview items to find the very best disability and AFO friendly items. Scroll to the bottom of this post to shop all of our favorites!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can be overwhelming because there is so much good stuff and things sell out quickly. Plan to jump (not literally) on your computer first thing on the day you gain access.

Not sure which Nordy Club tier you’re in? Click Here to see your date of access. Nordstrom credit card holders automatically gain early access to the sale. Upon signing up, you instantly become an Insider, so even if you don’t increase your status before the sale begins, you’ll be able to shop starting July 15th no matter what. - When Nordstrom says “sale,” they mean it. There is no messing around with coupons, promo codes, etc. They simply put brand new fall and winter merchandise on sale at 30–40% off for a limited time. Seriously, Once the sale is over, items return to their original prices.
- Nordstrom usually doesn’t restock sold-out items during the sale. Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns. Alternatively, you can order online and pick it up curbside the same day you order. It’s super convenient! Typically, during the Anniversary Sale, it gets crazy in-store, so I’ve always recommended ordering online. In our present situation, that’s true more now than ever!
- It’s a good time to stock up on holiday gifts. It might sound crazy, but it’s true! When December rolls around, you’ll be able to spend more time focusing on family and fun because you won’t have to stress about buying gifts. According to Nordstrom’s return policy, “There are no time limits for Nordstrom returns and exchanges and no highlighted restrictions.”
CLOTHES & SHOES
This year’s sale has a great selection of easy-on and stylish jumpsuits, pants, and jeans. We also found a number of super-soft layering cardigans and pull-over tops. Unlike the previous year’s sales, there are very AFO-friendly, adjustable, wide-width shoes. We did discover a gorgeous pair of almost flat, tall leather boots with a full side zipper in a wide width. When buying boots, remember to always size up. ACCESSORIES
Accessories are an easy way to change up your look and add personality to any outfit. We found a few beautiful necklaces with magnetic clasps and a ton of stretchy stacking bracelets. We’re particularly loving the ones with empowering words on them. The Anniversary Sale is also a great time to snag a timeless designer cross-body bag or backpack at a discounted price.

BEAUTY & FRAGRANCE
When you have hand weakness or other disabilities, beauty products and tools need to be easy to hold and utilize. We look for pump-style skin care products, easy-to-grip makeup brushes and tools, and fragrances with rivets in a pump-style dispenser.
The Anniversary Sale is when I purchase my favorite self-care gifts like a set of Jo Malone’s assorted fragrances and Nest’s Grapefruit & Bamboo reed diffuser. Of course, they also make fabulous any-occasion gifts for family and friends.
